A golfer without a good pushcart is not likely to perform excellently. Carrying heavy equipment around the field can be so tiring. If you’ve gone through the stress, you probably know the importance of trolleys.
Fortunately, both Clicgear and Sun Mountain have good models you can look at. The Clicgear Model 4.0 and Sun Mountain Micro-Cart are top-selling models you can get right now.
You may be wondering which of the two is better. In this article, I’ll tell you what differentiates them. And what similarities they have.
Differences Between Sun Mountain and Clicgear Pushcarts
There are a lot of differences you can consider. However, these ones should help you make a quick decision.
When folded, Sun Mountain is bigger than the Clicgear. Consider this if you have a small vehicle. Clicgear employs straps to hold your golf bag in place, while Sun Mountain only uses an adjustable arm that cradles the bag at an inclined angle.
This makes it easier to get to the bag on the Clicgear than Sun Mountain. Beneath the handle in Sun Mountain, there is a sling where you can hang your sweater or similar items. This is absent in the Clicgear pushcart.
Sun Mountain Micro-Cart vs Clicgear Model 4.0
Sun Mountain Micro-Cart
The Sun Mountain Micro-cart would be the perfect gift for any golfer. It is compact, lightweight, and easy to store. Weighing in at 13.8 pounds, it is easy to carry and fits perfectly in the back of the car.
Placing my golf club bag in it was a breeze and I didn’t have to worry about the bag becoming loose or possibly falling off the cart.
I was able to push the cart and my clubs around the golf course with ease. I like that it has 4 wheels too.
The many wheels make it even easier to push and maneuver.
It’s very convenient that this cart folds down into a very small space-saving square when not in use. I didn’t have to worry about it taking up too much space while I stored it in the offseason.
The E-Z Latch is a wonderful feature that allows me to adjust the height of the handle.
I’ve let friends of mine borrow it in the past and they were able to easily adjust it to their height when they used it. I also loved not having to deal with those pesky straps that are on most golf cub carts.
The Sun Mountain Micro cart has strong brackets that hold your clubs in place without worry that the clubs will fall off or possibly even tip the cart. These brackets are very strong and keep my clubs secure in place.
Verdict on Sun Mountain Cart
Another great thing about the micro cart is that you can find accessories on the Sun Mountains website for the cart. They have wheel covers, which is nice because I can cover them when the cart isn’t in use.
They also have a micro pack and a small cooler.
These items are all very handy because they’re designed for the compact cart and I can easily add them to it. I really like the Sun Mountain Micro cart and have recommended it to many of my golfing friends.
I have also received many compliments on it while golfing on various courses.
Clicgear Model 4.0 Golf Push Cart Review
I needed a new golf cart to wheel my clubs around and after a good deal of searching, I decided on this one because it has so many good reviews that I became curious. Surely it couldn’t be that good, isn’t it?
However, I was greatly surprised that it was indeed excellent for the price!
For starters, it is quite sturdy which is really important for me as I tend to be a bit of a rough and tumble person and I am not the most delicate with my clubs.
It is also well designed and sleek, with a good amount of storage space. It also rolls great in any terrain and can take on bumps, rough terrain, gravel, sand, tree roots, and just about anything you throw on to it!
All in all, the design is pretty sturdy; but it has some minor flaws too.
The dangling brake is set too low, and it can snag onto things if you are not careful when moving around in rough terrain such as tree roots. A person that is thoughtful and careful with their cart should be fine, but it can be a bit of an issue for the rough and tumble types.
Other than that, I think it works excellent: the new silicone strap system is very reliable.
It holds everything comfortable and neatly, it is lightweight and folds to quite a small size (it is very easy to carry too) and it even comes with an umbrella mount and bracket which is always a plus.
Verdict on Sun Mountain Micro-Cart
All in all, I would say it is an excellent purchase for the price other than the dangling brake being too low. If you are careful and mindful of the terrain, this is the perfect cart for you and if you are not, well, it might help you be after it snags a couple of times!
Clicgear Model 4.0 vs Sun Mountain Micro-Cart
If beauty is an attitude, then a good cart shows your persona. Many people put a lot of effort into getting a good bag. And in golf, your trolleys can directly affect your performance so you should do more in getting a better one.
Unlike other sports, where the trolley stays outside the field, in golf, it comes right with the golfer on the golf course. It stays with you throughout the tournament. No matter where you move for your shot.
Hence, a good gaming pushcart is the sign of a good golfer – a golfer who respects his game.
In fact, it is more than just friendly equipment for carrying golfing accessories.
If you spend a lot of time and effort and investment trying to get one, then it doesn’t go to waste. You should see the difference in your performance.
